A mum could barely keep a straight face after her one-year-old proudly said “f**k” multiple times while sitting in the back seat of a car.
“My one-year-old went on a holiday with his grandparents and learned a new word,” mum Jacquie Vosso said in a video she posted on TikTok.
After ensuring his mum captured his new party trick on video, the toddler appeared to rhythmically move his upper body while remaining strapped in his car seat.
In a comment Mrs Vosso explained that her husband bumped his head on the car door, triggering the profanity explosion.
“He knew he was saying something naughty,” she said.
“We get a lot of comments about how well he speaks for his age … it must be all the swearing he hears.”
Despite initially believing her parents played a significant role in teaching her son a new word, the bewildered mum admitted they may not entirely be to blame.
“Wait till my mum sees that I’ve blamed them, despite my severe potty mouth,” she joked.
“I have to try really hard to make a conscious effort not to swear now that he can copy me.”
In response to the viral video the grandmother said they “did well.”
Commenters sympathised with the mum, adding that they also struggle to avoid swearing around their children.
“I’m a Generation X with a nine-year-old. My mouth is like a trailer. My mother’s mouth was like a trailer growing up. I’m trying to control it. My kid hates swearing, but she did this when she was two,” one commenter said.
But despite Mrs Vosso conceding that she might have been at fault, the majority of commenters put blame entirely on the grandfather.
“My money is on grandad being on his best behaviour all holiday and let this slip in the last 10 mins before you did the pick up,” a commenter said.
“I just know it’s grandads fault,” a second commenter added.
