Popular food delivery app Deliveroo has slashed the price of on local favourites

A popular food delivery app has revealed the top selling meals in suburbs across Brisbane and is cutting the price of the most popular takeaways.

BUTTER chicken is the top takeaway in Annerley while across the river in Clayfield families have a hankering for a classic American cheese burger.

Sushi Kotobuki is the most popular takeaway in East Brisbane, and Cheeky Poke Bar takes the top spot in health-conscious Fortitude Valley. Big Roddy’s Rippin’ Rib Shack is the favourite for trendy South Brisbanites.

That’s the findings of research by Deliveroo on the most popular dishes in each Brisbane suburb.

And the popular delivery app has cut the cost of those favourite meals in half as the company celebrates its fourth anniversary.

David Silvestri from Arrivederci Pizzeria says it’s Arrivederci Special pizza, which came out tops for hungry Milton-ites, had always been a top seller.

“It’s your typical comfort food,” he said. “We have found that is what everyone wants at the moment.

“With takeaways increasing it seems everyone wants what they’re use to.”

WINTER WINNER: Ben Cleary-Corradini of Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers, Paddington. It’s traditional beef bolognese is a hit with Paddington locals.

Ben Cleary-Corradini, co-founder and director of Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers says it’s beef bolognese gnocchi – a winner in Paddington – is a hearty winter meal.

“Customers appreciate authenticity and I believe that’s what we deliver with our bolognese gnocchi.

“We slow cook our traditional beef bolognese for over six hours and only use the finest quality local topside mince which we source from the Darling Downs.

“Not taking any short cuts gives our bolognese enormous flavour and it marries beautifully with our fluffy potato gnocchi making a wonderful hearty meal to enjoy during winter.”
