THE Queensland Government will produce social media videos explaining to people how to self-isolate if they have, or may have, coronavirus.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the directive meant that people should not leave their homes for 14 days for any reason.
“If you are told to isolate, you must isolate. We are going to prepare some social media, targeted messages for people to understand what that isolation means,” she said.
“It means that for 14 days, you cannot leave your house or your apartment.
“It is very important that you don’t go to the shop and buy a bottle of milk and come home.
“This self isolation is very important.”
She said police were doing random compliance checks.
Ms Palaszczuk said COAG would meet on Friday in NSW to further discuss the economic fallout of the coronavirus crisis.
