CCTV has been released that detectives hope could be the key to finding a cyclist that allegedly assaulted a 68-year-old man in Brisbane’s north in March.
Police say the 69-year-old Albany Creek man was walking at the Shorncliffe Pier about 11.10pm on March 29 when a verbal altercation took place with a man riding an electric bike.
The cyclist then continued on his way but returned a short time later, with police alleging that he punched the 68-year-old man in the head a number of times before fleeing the scene.
The 69-year-old was left with serious facial injuries, while his alleged attacked fled the scene, last seen travelling on Pier Ave.
He is described as aged between 50 and 55, caucasian in appearance and with a tanned complexion. He also has a solid build.
Police have released CCTV footage of the man they believe to be involved, and ask that anyone who recognises him or has information about the incident to contact them.
