SOUTH east Queenslanders have seen a recent spike in fuel prices as restrictions are being relaxed, with average costs sitting at about 120c/litre.
Last month, RACQ predicted petrol prices would fall to below 90c/Litre for southeast motorists, and expected a continuing further fall only a fortnight ago.
RACQ suggest motorists “wait if (they) can” to purchase fuel, as “prices are high,” sitting Brisbane’s average fuel cost at 107.1c/litre.
Southeast’s average ULP fuel price is sitting the second highest in the state, following closely behind Hervey Bay’s 108.9c/litre.
State pandemic restrictions initially began to ease on May 1, a likely cause for the drastic fuel cost spike.
