A paraglider has been rushed to hospital after a horrific fall on the Sunshine Coast.

A paraglider has been rushed to hospital after a horrific fall on the Sunshine Coast.

Paramedics were called to Cooloola about 5.34pm on Friday where a male paraglider had fallen 10m near the Cooloola Great Walk.

The man in his 30s suffered serious chest, back and leg injuries.

He was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

The Cooloola Recreation Area lies between Tewantin, near Noosa, and Rainbow Beach just south of K’gari.

It’s understood the man’s paraglider failed, causing him to fall.
