Motorists are facing long delays on the Pacific Motorway as train lines remain shutdown due to major flood damage.

Floods are having a 'catastrophic impact'

There are major delays on the Pacific Motorway as train lines remain closed after South East Queensland’s catastrophic floods.

The Gold Coast train line was only operating between Varsity Lakes and Ormeau, with rail replacement services operating between Beenleigh and Kuraby, which pushed many commuters on to the Pacific Motorway.

Delays spanned between Beenleigh to Slacks Creek and then again between Upper Mount Gravatt into the city.

Trains were also affected on the Ipswich line, with Railbuses replacing the train services, as well as Sunshine Coast.
