Earlier, Brisbane southside commuters faced lengthy delays after a serious two-vehicle crash in Carindale left a man trapped.

Paramedics treated two men aged in their 40s after the crash at the intersection of Old Cleveland and Creek roads.

The trapped man was freed by authorities and taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

The other man was uninjured and did not require hospitalisation.

“The impact of the crash was quite significant,” a QAS spokeswoman said.

It is unclear how the crash occurred.

Traffic delays continued well after the roads were cleared.
