A young man has died after a three-vehicle crash south of Brisbane on Thursday night.
The accident happened on Waterford-Tamborine Rd at Yarrabilba just after 9pm.
Police believe a Volkswagon Touareg was travelling south along Waterford Tamborine Rd when it clipped a black Suzuki Swift travelling in the opposite direction near Hotz Rd.
The Touareg has then collided head-on with a blue Mitsubishi Lancer, driven by the 25-year-old man who died at the scene.
The incident left all lanes blocked for several hours.
The 24-year-old female driver of the Touareg was assessed for minor injuries at the scene along with the driver of the Suzuki Swift, a 51-year-old woman.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old man from Diddlibah died when the black BMW coupe he was travelling in along Maroochydore Rd, Buderim, crashed into a tree about 11pm on Thursday.
Police believe speed may have been a factor.
Crash investigators are appealing for anyone who has dashcam footage of either incident to contact police.
