The faces of Queensland's shocking road toll

A 50-YEAR-OLD Caboolture man has been killed when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a 4WD that was doing a reverse park.

Emergency services, including critical care paramedics, were called to the multi-vehicle crash near the intersection of King St and Gallipoli Drive in Caboolture at 12.45pm.

Preliminary investigations indicate the motorcycle was travelling east on King Street when it collided with the vehicle doing a reverse park.

The Caboolture man died at the scene. The driver of the 4WD was not physically injured.

Caboolture resident Peter Hyvari was working on his car in the carport of his unit complex on King St at the time of the crash.

Mr Hyvari said he had his head under the bonnet when he heard a loud “bang” this afternoon that drew him to the scene.

“I never saw what happened but I could see someone lying on the road, they were not moving,” Mr Hyvari said.

“I could see a 4WD on an angle and a motorbike on the road.”

King St was closed in both directions, near Gallipoli Drive for a number of hours.

Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating.
