Man critical after three pulled from rough Sunshine Coast waters

A young man has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after being pulled from a rip off a Sunshine Coast beach. He was one of three rescued from the rough waters.

A young man has been taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition after being pulled from a rip.

Dozens of lifeguards and paramedics raced to the scene at Buddina beach, after three people needed help getting out of the rip, off Pacific Boulevard about 3.20pm on Sunday.

Lifeguards performed CPR on a man aged in his 20s at the scene, before he was rushed to hospital.

The other two men, both aged in their 20s, were also taken to hospital.

They are both in a stable condition.
