Maleny Dairies offers condolences after truck driver killed in Bruce Hwy crash

A well-known southeast Queensland business has offered their condolences following the tragic death of one of their drivers in a crash on the Bruce Hwy.

A truck driver has been killed in a rollover off the Bruce Hwy, north of Brisbane.

The Caboolture Southbound exit 152 was closed for several hours on Monday following the crash at about 4.40pm, after the truck rolled as it approached the D’Aguilar Hwy off-ramp, towards Bribie Island.

Paramedics, including the High Acuity Response Unit, attended the scene where they treated the 59-year-old Bridges driver, for critical injuries. It is believed the man suffered a medical episode prior to the rollover. He died at the scene.

Maleny Dairies, who owned the truck, expressed their condolences to the family members of the deceased online.

“Late this (Monday) afternoon, a Maleny Dairies semi was involved in a single vehicle fatal accident. We send our prayers and sincere condolences to the family.,” they wrote.

“Please keep them in your prayers during this tragic time.”

The Forensic Crash Unit remained at the scene late on Monday night.
