NRL young gun Payne Haas has a reason to celebrate despite his series loss for the NSW Blues.

Sharing a photo of an ultrasound scan to Instagram, the 20-year-old Brisbane Broncos prop announced his partner Leilani Mohenoa is due to give birth to a daughter in May.
“Can’t wait to meet our baby girl,” he wrote alongside the photo.
It comes after Haas was left devastated by the death of his older brother Chace in August.
Appearing to reference the family’s loss, Mohenoa, 21, wrote to Instagram on Thursday: “We lost an angel but he sent us another that same month. Baby girl due in May.”
The news was met with a series of well wishes from Broncos teammates including Anthony Milford and Brodie Croft, who is expecting his first child next month.
In 2019 Haas capped a magnificent season with the Broncos by winning the NRL’s rookie-of-the-year award and claiming his maiden Australian jumper.
