NRL player Jarrod Wallace has stepped out with his new partner, and rumoured fiancee, in the wake of his high-profile marriage breakdown.

NRL player Jarrod Wallace has stepped out with his new partner after his shock marriage breakdown.

The Dolphins recruit, 31, attended the new NRL club’s season launch event in Brisbane on Friday where he made his public debut with his rumoured fiancee, Shannon Wells.

Posing together on the red carpet, Wells was seen wearing an engagement ring, with Wallace understood to have popped the question late last year.

It comes in the wake of his high-profile separation from wife Courtney Thorpe, who confirmed the breakdown of their two-year marriage in May.

Thorpe, a presenter and former Miss World Australia, said the pair had attempted to reconcile their relationship for a number of months since first separating in September 2021, but had been unable to save their marriage amid claims Wallace had been unfaithful.

He declined to comment on the allegations at the time.

The couple share a three-year-old daughter while Wallace has two daughters from a previous engagement.

The former Queensland Maroons prop, who spent time in reserve grade during a tumultuous 2022 season, announced a two-year deal with the Dolphins in June, ending his six-year tenure at the Titans.

This week he told Fox Sports of the move: “It’s exactly what I needed personally, and as a footballer, was a fresh start … This is where I wanted to be.”

Wells, who began dating Wallace last year, is understood to be a Gold Coast-based mother of one.
