Noosa businesswoman Gabrielle Amies is offering what could be one the best accommodation deals in Hastings St – a fully furnished resort studio apartment for $620 a week.
Up until now the successful supplement supplier has been renting out the luxury stay on Noosa’s most exclusive street on Airbnb for $350 a night and $1000 a night over the Christmas and New Year period.
Her offer for the July 9 to December 29 stay, with a possible extension, has triggered lively interest on social media with one comment attacking her for an asking price only company CEOs could afford.

Others said it was the best deal since Betty Wallace started selling her Betty’s Burgers for $1 in Hastings St.
One of her supporters posted comparison photos of a one-bedroom unit unfurnished unit in Tewantin for $600 a week.
“I just thought I’d put it on a permanent rental,” Ms Amies said.
“I thought I’d just take the pressure off myself.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if someone just said ‘I’ll take it for six months and come up here every weekend’ – it’s the cheapest way to rent,” she said.
The resort complex apartment is on the same level as the large resort pool and comes with crockery, linen, TV and access to barbecue and entertainment areas.
She believes with Noosa Triathlon not far away and the school holidays ahead, she will be spoiled for choice when deciding a suitable tenant.
“The interest has been incredible,” Ms Amies said.
“I’m not annoyed by any of it (the negative online comments), I actually find it quite amusing – people are obviously very bored at the moment.
“People are saying you can rent apartments in Sydney for that … I lived in Sydney and you don’t get on the main street of Bondi for that,” she said.
Ms Amies, who has owned the apartment for more than five years, said part of her motivation was to “offer something reasonable” in light of Noosa’s permanent rental shortage.
