Real Estate Agency Suter Smith Cleine raising the bar

The owners of a stylish Noosa Heads real estate agency have transformed what was once a bank into a Google-like workspace with a bar, pool table and not a window ad in sight.

A progressive Sunshine Coast business is shaping the future of real estate with a cutting edge outlook and office to match at the bustling Noosa Junction precinct.

Originally an old bank on Sunshine Beach Rd in Noosa Heads with the vault still in tact at the back, owners Tyron Cleine, Clint Smith and couple Ian and Linda Suter of Real Estate Agency Suter Smith Cleine have designed a space to encourage a culture of connectivity, freedom, and fun.

“We redesigned the space to be a much more open plan, functional space, in the likes of your EA Sports, or Google or Apple offices where everyone is communicative with each other,” Ian Suter says.

“But we are also real estate agents, so people need to make private phone calls when we are negotiating with people, so we created some private spaces.”

Using an abundance of space, light, colour, organic shapes, living plants and fun perks, the space is a habitat for people to be themselves, within a community.

A boardroom table doubles as a pool table; a bar and coffee area scream “Friday afternoon”, local art hangs on the walls; and outdated window advertisements have been replaced with walls of glass opening out to the bustling streetscape.

Mr Suter says he has noticed how window ads have become virtually obsolete over the last five years, with more than half of people searching for homes on their phone, before moving to a larger computer screen.

“If they’re local they may even drive by to see where it is or just come to an open home, so sometimes we are third or fourth or fifth touch when they finally meet us, so the marketing is very important,” Mr Suter says.

“For someone to see one picture in a window to then come in and engage with a real estate agent, it’s just not enough information for either party to be able to initiate the sale of a home.”

In a position with loads of foot traffic directly opposite the bustling Noosa Junction dining precinct, Paradise Arcade, the agency also has a Hamptons style foyer, glass meeting room, hydraulic sit and stand desks and Superman themed phone booths.

“We open it all up especially on Fridays after work and we invite the community in,” Mr Suter says.

“We also sponsor the buskers, so you can hear them and see them depending on where they‘re set up,” Linda Suter says.

“We have found a very good spot that we can see growing as it has in the last five years, so we are very happy to be here.”
