Noosa businesswoman Sophie Katsouris opens first real estate agency, La Vie Noosa Real Estate

After six years as a stay at home mum a Noosa businesswoman has realised her lifelong dream of owning her own luxurious, boutique real estate agency. WATCH THE VIDEO

A mum of two with property in her blood is ready to take on some of the elite agents in the blue-chip Noosa market.

After six years as a stay at home mum to her two daughters La Vie Noosa Real Estate owner Sophie Katsouris was given the opportunity to open her first real estate agency last month.

Mrs Katsouris grew up in France where her parents worked in the property market.

“I knew property was in my blood from the start,” she said.

“But I was backwards and forwards about opening my own real estate for many years and when I had my girls I thought ‘I’m just going to do what I want to do’ and show them that if you put your mind to something and you’re passionate about it then go out and do it.”

Mrs Katsouris said her business would not be like other real estate agencies.

“We are a lot more boutique, we take pride in what we do and our clients are our main focus and their homes will be treated as if they are our own,” she said.

“What you see is what you get and you are always going to deal with us and we are just very passionate about what we do,” she said.

“We are not just salespeople …(and) once our client realise we are not like that I think our business will flourish.

“We wanted to be very luxurious and boutique … we have a love for the property that you are about to put on the market too.”

The business owner said having a community focus and getting to know the community were top priorities and she planned to hire another sales agent in future.

“We had a lot of people say to us why don’t you pay a 14-year-old to do your flyer dropping for you and I thought well no because … we get the opportunity to get out there and meet people rather than paying someone to do your dirty job,” she said.

“We will find our listings, a lot of people are hanging onto houses at the moment because it’s a hard market to buy in, there is a lot of competition.”
