Bilal El Meshmeshani faces court on alleged Tewantin tobacco charges
A Noosa magistrate has laid out the next steps as a Maryborough man faces illegal tobacco-related charges, with more information needed from the arresting officers.

A shop manager charged with tobacco-related offences has appeared in a Noosa court.
Bilal El Meshmeshani appeared in the Noosa Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with possession of 5kg or more of tobacco, receiving tainted property and selling or supplying tobacco products in non-compliant retail packaging.
According to court documents, the alleged offences occurred on October 17 and November 17 last year in Tewantin.
The 30-year-old Maryborough man, who according to court documents is a shop manager, was represented by barrister Alastair McDougall who appeared via phone.
Magistrate Haydn Stjernqvist said he accepted the adjournment was required to obtain more information from the arresting officer.
Mr El Meshmeshani’s bail was enlarged.
The matter was adjourned until January 24.
