A development application has been lodged to cap a 22-storey residential, hotel and commercial complex with a roof top bar, beer garden and lap pool adjacent to Milton railway station.
The proposal contains 143 apartments and 66 ‘short term’ accommodation units, including 36 hotel rooms, as well as a hotel, bar and commercial premises at 27-33 Railway Terrace, Milton.
According to plans prepared by Kris Kowalski Architects, the tower will have eight fewer storeys than The Milton at 55 Railway Terrace. The Milton opened in 2015.
North-facing apartments in the proposed tower would look directly over the Castlemaine Perkins Brewery on Milton Road and also offer views of Suncorp Stadium.
The tower would occupy a 1595sq m site while the roof top area will cover 936sq m.
A fitness club has been earmarked as tenant on the basement level.
The 143 residential dwellings comprise 48 one-bedroom apartments, 83 with two bedrooms, 11 with three bedrooms and just one four-bedroom apartment.
Provisions have been made for 235 car parks, which includes 150 for residents and 20 spaces for staff, and more than 220 bicycle spaces.
The combined site, according to a traffic report lodged with BCC, is occupied by a residential dwelling, a shed, car parks and a one-storey commercial building.
