Queensland’s corruption watchdog has completed its investigation into the saga involving a laptop provided to the Public Service Commission from the office of Integrity Commissioner Nikola Stepanov - but it won’t be published for several weeks.
Crime and Corruption Commission acting chair Bruce Barbour said a draft report was complete but was being finalised and would go to a “procedural fairness stage” - when it would be provided to any subjects of the investigation - in “the next few weeks”.
He told a PCCC hearing on Tuesday he intended to provide the report to it confidentially ahead of its public release after that.
Mr Barbour also revealed there was a second matter underway in relation to connected matters.
“It relates … to certain allegations involving alleged bullying,” he said.
“That matter is currently a public interest review being undertaken by the Public Service Commission.”
Mr Barbour confirmed Dr Stepanov was not the subject of those bullying allegations.
