Commuters have faced delays heading into Brisbane from the city’s north following a crash involving two trucks on the Gateway Motorway.

Commuters have faced delays heading to Brisbane from the city’s north following a multi-vehicle crash on the Gateway Motorway.

The incident occurred near the Bracken Ridge exit when two trucks collided about 5.30am, blocking two southbound lanes.

Emergency services were able to clear the scene about 6.20am and the Gateway Motorway has returned to normal, but traffic was still impacted through North Lakes and beyond Boundary Road on the Bruce Highway for close to an hour after.

It has since returned to normal.
