Multiple firearms, drugs and cash uncovered during huge bust in Deception Bay

Three people have been charged with more than 30 offences after police uncovered multiple firearms, drugs and cash at a property north of Brisbane.

Three people have been charged with more than 30 offences after police uncovered multiple firearms, drugs and cash at a property at Deception Bay north of Brisbane on Friday afternoon.

Acting on information from the local community, officers searched the Lieutenant St property where four people were located, all of whom allegedly attempted to flee the scene before being taken into custody without incident.

Police will allege they located a shortened Lithgow rifle and three handguns, one of which was loaded.

Over $30,000 in cash was also allegedly found, along with 68g of methamphetamine, 500g of cannabis, one homemade conducted energy weapon and an imported taser, ammunition and other suspected stolen property.

A hired Nissan Xtrail was also allegedly located at the property which was involved in an incident last Thursday night when patrolling crews attempted to intercept it at Deagon.

It was allegedly driven at speed towards them before fleeing the scene.

Two additional firearms were located in the boot of a stolen BMW X3 that was also recovered at the property.

Two Deception Bay men, aged 40 and 41, and a Keperra woman, 25, have been charged with a slew of offences including multiple drug and firearm counts.

Both men have been denied police bail and remain in custody until their court date in July.
