A man has died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a ute southwest of Brisbane closing a major highway for several hours.

A man has died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a ute southwest of Brisbane closing a major highway for several hours.
Emergency services were called to the Centenary Highway in White Rock just after 3pm to reports a Yamaha Yzf-r3 motorcycle and Isuzu D-max had crashed southbound.
Paramedics treating the motorcycle rider for life-threatening injuries at the scene.
The 23-year-old Ripley man died at the scene.
The driver of the ute and sole occupant, a 49-year-old Thornlands man, was uninjured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash, and is appealing to anyone with information, including dashcam vision, to come forward.
The motorway was closed between Mount Julierat Drive southbound and Rupley Rd northbound, with all lanes affected in both directions and motorists advised to avoid the area.
