Motorcyclist fighting for life after serious Logan Motorway crash

A motorcyclist is fighting for life after a serious crash on the Logan Motorway, with a second nearby motorcycle crash causing major delays.

Brisbane commuters are facing delays after two separate crashes involving a motorbikes have closed parts of westbound lanes of the Logan Motorway.

A motorcyclist is fighting for life after one of the crashes, which happened near Beaudesert Road in Parkinson about 2.40pm.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said a rider is being assessed with life-threatening injuries following the crash, with the Logan Motorway on-ramp near Beaudesert Road westbound closed.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.

A second crash, involving a car and motorcycle, occurred along the same motorway 80 minutes later at Tanah Merah, near the Loganlea Rd off-ramp.

Lanes have been reduced towards Kingston, with motorists told to expect delays.
