Mossman crash: Mareeba motorcyclist dies at scene of collision with car

A 51-year-old man has died at the scene of a crash involving his motorcycle and a car in Queensland’s north.

A man has died following a crash involving a motorcycle and car in Queensland’s far north.

Police say the man was travelling along Mossman Mount Molloy Road about 7pm on Sunday evening when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car.

The motorcycle rider, a 51-year-old Mareeba man, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene. The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 65-year-old man, was uninjured and is assisting police.

Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam vision to come forward.
