Dashcam footage has captured a dramatic road rage incident on the Gold Coast involving a mullet-headed ute driver and a Mercedes motorist - with a witness wearing a Street Fighter t-shirt stepping in to break up the wild brawl.

Dashcam footage has captured a dramatic road rage incident on the Gold Coast involving a mullet-headed ute driver and a Mercedes motorist - with a witness wearing a Street Fighter t-shirt stepping in to break up the wild brawl.

The drama erupted at Robina on Christmas Eve, according to Scott’s Car Cameras which posted the clip to social media under the headline “RAGEMAS: The mullet v the Merc”.

It shows the ute and Mercedes drivers brawling on a busy road in broad daylight after the ute overtook the Merc.

Both men get out of their vehicles at a set of traffic lights and begin throwing punchesat each other before engaging in a wild wrestle during which the Merc driver is pushed back against his vehicle.

At this point, the motorist wearing the Street Fighter t-shirt steps in with his hands in the air trying to defuse the situation.

He manages to calm things down and both the combatants finally return to their vehicles before driving off.

“The irony of the guy in the street fighter shirt trying to stop the fight … gold,” one YouTube follower commented.

“A couple of turkeys doing a mating dance,” said another.

A reddit user observed: “When a MUGIF (Must Get in Front) meets a NIFOM (Not in Front of Me) hilarity always ensues.”
