Meet the hardworking nail technician with beautiful works that has been voted Brisbane’s best.

The Courier Mail readers have decided a mother’s home nail salon north of the city is Brisbane’s best.

Brooke’s Beauty Treatments in Morayfield was voted Brisbane’s best nail technician in a recent poll.

The owner and sole technician Brooke Elliott has operated the business out of her Morayfield home for 15 years.

She often works six days a week, sometimes seven, to fit in bridal parties and formal parties.

Ms Elliott has stuck with her career since high school and was ecstatic to be voted Brisbane’s best.

“It was great to be recognised for what I do and know that a lot of people enjoy my work,” Ms Elliott said.

The star nail tech offers acrylic and gel nails, lash lifts, waxing and spray tans in the small room of her modest Morayfield home.

“Like anything with a client base, it has its ups and downs,” Ms Elliott said.

“A lot of them have been good to me for the 15 years.

“They all use these appointments as a little therapy session.

“They’ve all become friends now.”

She has clients coming from as far as Newport and as close as across the road.

“The most rewarding part is making clients feel good and seeing their amazement,” Ms Elliott said.

“A lot of the time this is all that people do for themselves.

“I like having the home business, it's a lot more comfortable for clients.”

The Courier-Mail will be crowning and featuring Brisbane’s best gym in the coming days.
