Water Police have pulled a man’s body from the water on Russell Island on Sunday afternoon.
At 12:30pm, emergency services were called to the jetty off High Street following reports of an overturned boat.
They discovered the man’s body and pulled it to shore but were unable to revive him.
Water Police, with the assistance of Coast Guard, conducted searches in the area to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
Translink confirmed it had cancelled Moreton Bay ferry services for the afternoon.
