A MAN accused of murdering his toddler 10 years ago will stand trial in the Supreme Court.

Shane Arthur Simpson, 49, was committed to stand trial for the alleged murder of his 22-month-old son Baden Bond during a brief hearing in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.

He has not entered a plea at this stage.

Simpson and his partner, Dina Bond, were charged last year, but Baden has not been seen or more than 10 years.

It is alleged Baden was killed between March 26, 2007 and May 17, 2007 in Woodridge or elsewhere in Queensland.

He was last seen in March of that year, but was not declared missing until early 2016, when a NSW magistrate hearing a case involving the family questioned the whereabouts of the boy.
