Man injured after dog attack at home; second in a week

A man has been left with arm and leg injuries after being attacked by a dog on the Sunshine Coast.

Emergency services have been called to a private residence in Palmwoods after a man was bitten by a dog, sustaining multiple puncture wounds.

Queensland Ambulance Service was called to the Yellow Cedar Place address just before 6.30am on Wednesday morning and treated the man for arm and leg injuries. The patient is said to be in a stable condition.

It is unclear as to whether the dog that was involved in the attack was owned by the man.

The incident is the second dog attack to occur in a week after six-year-old Laquarna Chapman Palmer was mauled by her neighbours dogs in Woodridge, causing serious injuries.
