A man has been taken to hospital with head and rib injuries after he was rescued after following four metres down a drain south of Brisbane.

A man in his 30s has reportedly suffered head and chest injuries after falling four metres down a drain south of Brisbane.
Six fire crews were sent to a Seeana Place, Heathwood, address after receiving reports of the fall about 11:50am on Tuesday.
Firefighters had entered the drain just after 1pm and were working to free the man.
He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition with head and rib injuries about 1.40pm.
