Jimboomba crash: Man dies after car smashes into tree south of Brisbane

A man has died after the car he was driving left the road and hit a tree south of Brisbane.

A man has died after a single-vehicle crash in Jimboomba on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash at Cusack Lane near Henderson Road about 5pm.

Police say early indications are the man’s car was heading north before it left the road and hit a tree.

Emergency services were unable to revive the man, who was the sole occupant of the car, and he died at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from that area is urged to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit investigation is continuing.
