Woman in critical condition after falling from a terrace at CBD hostel

A woman has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after falling several metres from the terrace of a Brisbane CBD backpacker’s hostel.

Police are investigating after a person fell several metres from a terrace, believed to be at a backpacker’s hostel in Brisbane’s CBD.

Emergency services were called to the Eagle Terrace and Quay St address in the city centre just after 11.45am.

A woman has been transported to hospital in a critical condition after paramedics performed CPR on the patient for some time.

It’s unclear what the circumstances of the person’s fall are, however it’s understood they fell from a small veranda at a backpacker’s hostel.

Police continue their investigations as they work to determine how the person fell.
