Man found dead after medical episode on Mt Beerwah

A man has died after a tragic incident in the Glasshouse Mountains on the Sunshine Coast.

A man has died after a hiking incident on the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to Mt Beerwah at 5.30pm, after a man in his 40s was found dead on a hiking trail.

It is understood that the man died following a medical episode and his death is being treated as non-suspicious.

Following the incident, the mountain was closed off to the public.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
