A 22-year-old man is fighting for life after the car he was driving rolled north west of Brisbane Monday evening.

Emergency services were called to Mount Mee Rd between Blakely St and Chapel Rd just before 5pm to reports of a serious car crash.

Multiple fire and emergency crews arrived at the scene while Queensland Ambulance Service treated the man, who was in a critical condition.

A QAS spokesman confirmed he was the only person in the car.

The rescue helicopter was on scene to treat the man and he was later flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment.

The section of Mount Mee Rd at Delaneys Creek had been shut by police for most of the afternoon and motorists were urged to avoid the area.
