Man fights for life after car crashes into house

A man is fighting for life after a medical episode caused him to crash his car into a house southwest of Brisbane.

A man is fighting for life after a medical episode caused him to crash his car into a house in Ipswich.

A police spokesman said Old Logan Rd at Camira between Steven St and Kertes Rd was closed after the crash, with a sole occupant in the vehicle.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said a man in his 50s was driven to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a life-threatening condition.

She said multiple crews responded after the initial call at 4.50pm and while the man required extrication assistance, his condition was from his medical episode and not crash injuries.

It was not known if there was anyone in the house however no other patients required assistance.
