Man dies at scene of crash with prime mover at Morwincha west of Brisbane

Police are investigating after a man died at the scene of a crash involving a van and a prime mover southwest of Brisbane

A man has died at the scene of a crash involving a van and a prime mover on the Cunningham Highway southwest of Brisbane.

it is believed the vehicles were travelling in opposite directions on the highway at Morwincha in the Scenic Rim on Thursday morning when they collided head on.

The 80-year-old male driver of the van suffered significant injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The 51-year-old male driver of the prime mover suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital for further treatment.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
