Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered by the side of the Bruce Hwy near Rockhampton.

Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered by the side of the Bruce Hwy south of Rockhampton on Monday morning.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of the Bruce Hwy and Moglino Rd at Midgee about 1.40am Monday after the discovery of a man’s body a short distance from his car.

Police are investigating whether the man was struck by a passing vehicle.

They are asking anyone who was travelling in the area before 1.30am and may have seen the man or a vehicle parked on the side of the road, or has relevant dashcam footage, to contact police on 131 444.
