Man critical after near-drowning on Magnetic Island
A man in his 20s has been flown to hospital in a critical condition after nearly drowning in a pool on Magnetic Island in North Queensland overnight.

A man in his 20s has been flown to hospital in a critical condition after nearly drowning in a pool on Magnetic Island in North Queensland overnight.
Paramedics were called to the near-drowning at a location in Nelly Bay on Magnetic Island at 3.40am.
A QAS spokesman said the man was removed from the swimming pool by bystanders before receiving CPR.
He was resuscitated on scene and transported to Magnetic Island clinic before a rescue helicopter flew him to Townsville University Hospital.
Helicopter arrived.
