Man critical after falling from skateboard

The man left fighting for life after falling from his skateboard in Logan on Sunday has been identified.

The man left fighting for life after falling from his skateboard in Logan on Sunday has been identified.

Brody Bourke was left with critical head injuries after he fell from his electric skateboard on Musa St, Crestmead, around 10am Sunday.

Friends of Mr Bourke have since set up a GoFundMe page for the 23-year-old’s family who live in NSW and have travelled to Logan to be with him.

“Brody is currently in a critical condition and has undergone multiple brain surgeries and is currently in an induced coma,” the page said.

“We are reaching out for support for Brody’s family during these times. Brody’s family live in NSW and will need support during these times.

“We appreciate any sort of help that people may provide.”

Mr Bourke had been was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with the high acuity response unit in a critical condition with head injuries.

It was understood he wasn’t wearing any safety gear and that the fall happened on the roadway. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
