Residents of an East Mackay street have been warned to seal their toilet bowls with cling wrap and weigh the lid down.
This is to prevent any sewage splashback as high pressure cleaning is under way this morning.
Mackay Regional Council Workers will be completing sewer reticulation works including cleaning the sewer main on January 28.

As a result there will be an interruption to sewerage services for Hodges St residents for between three and four hours.
“Due to the nature of these works and the use of high-pressure cleaning devices, residents are asked to cling wrap seal their toilet bowl and put the toilet seat lid down with a heavy object on top, to prevent any sewage splashback,” a council notice said.
“Staff will door knock you before the works commence, so you can seal your toilet, and inform you when the works are completed.
“Council apologises for any inconvenience.”
Crews will be working in the area between 7am and 3.30pm. Anyone impacted would have received a letter in the mailbox.
