Woman taken to Mackay Hospital following a collision on the Mackay-Bucasia Rd

A woman has been hospitalised after an early morning collision which left her lying on the roadside near a Mackay Catholic school.

A woman has been hospitalised following an early morning crash between a car and e-scooter on the Mackay-Bucasia Rd.

Paramedics and police rushed to an intersection on the Mackay-Bucasia Rd early Saturday after reports of a vehicle and e-scooter colliding.

Emergency services were called to a traffic intersection near St Brendan’s Catholic School in Rural View just after 6.20am.

A bystander described seeing the female driver prone on the roadside with an e-scooter lying close by.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman confirmed the pedestrian did not suffer life threatening injuries.

Paramedics transported a female patient to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition.
