Startling footage has exposed a violent fight between two young teens while others stand around filming or egging the girls on.
The incident occurred early Tuesday morning between a Mackay State High School student and a St Patrick’s College student, prompting a police response.
Several videos, which have been posted on social media, shows the Mackay State High School teen repeatedly striking the St Patrick’s College student as she is on the ground screaming “help me” and then following after her as she was attempting to walk away.
Multiple other girls can be seen filming the fight with a mobile phone, while at least one onlooker is heard to say “bash her” and another is heard laughing.
Both girls are heard calling the other derogatory names.
It is understood there was a pre-arranged meet up between the two girls for the purpose of a fight.
The mothers of the two girls involved have cast blame on the other, each alleging their daughter was bullied by the other teen.
The mother of the Mackay State High School student claimed there was provocation of her daughter for about six weeks, with her daughter having allegedly understood he other teen was going to bring a knife to the meet up.
The mother of the St Patrick’s College student claims her daughter had been the victim of racial abuse.
She said her daughter had tried to back out of the meet up, but alleged the other girl threatened to go to her school if it did not happen.
In November 2022 a video of a teen fighting outside a Sarina pharmacy came to light and in March 2021 this publication exposed how violent fights between Mackay students were being uploaded to a private platform.
