Two people taken to Bowen hospital after driving into Cow near Hwy

Two people were taken to Bowen Hospital overnight when a car hit a cow on a local road near the Bruce Highway.

Paramedics rushed to a scene on Bridsons Road about 1.30am after reports a car carrying three people hit a cow on a gravel road off the Bruce Highway.

A woman in her 30s suffered non-life threatening back injuries and another person suffered lacerations to their hand.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said both were taken to the Proserpine Hospital in a stable condition.

The third person was assessed on scene but didn’t require further treatment.
