A crash has closed the Bruce Highway with debris still being cleared from the road by emergency services.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said a car-towed caravan had crashed on the highway near Bloomsbury at the Midge Point Road turn-off.

Thankfully two people were uninjured, the spokesman said, but debris was blocking traffic in both directions.

One lane had been opened for traffic control but delays should still be expected as the clean-up continues.

The incident comes after a young man was flown to hospital after a ute crash near the rural town of Valkyrie.
