Two patients will be transported to hospital after an early morning crash in near Whitsunday Anglican School in Mackay’s north.
Emergency services received reports of a two vehicle crash on Beaconsfield Rd near the intersection with Nicklin Rd, arriving on scene just before 7.20am.
A black 4WD and silver sedan were spotted at the scene, with substantial damage to its front chassis.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed that three patients were being assessed at the scene and confirmed that three patients, included the two drivers involved, were transported to Mackay Base Hospital at 7:41am.
Police closed the left bound lane on Beaconsfield Rd leading to the roundabout intersection with Nicklin Rd while the black 4WD was prepared for towing.
The road was reopened to traffic by 8am.
