A vehicle crash has closed the southbound lane of the Bruce Highway between Mackay and Rockhampton, with paramedics assessing at least one patient.

Emergency services were called about 8.40am to a truck and car crash in St Lawrence, on the intersection of Mount Olympus Rd.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said crews had assessed one male patient with some non life threatening arm injuries, who then has declined to be taken to hospital.

No other patients presented.

Police are on scene diverting traffic from the crash which has closed the southbound lane.

A Queensland Police spokesman noted there were no entrapments following the crash.

Queensland Fire Department confirmed they still had two crews on scene assisting to make the scene safe, while police continue traffic control.
