The readers have spoken, and North Cairns Tigers’ James Bennett has been voted North Queensland’s best footballer.
Bennett has had an extremely strong campaign across the board for the Tigers, who currently sit third on the AFL Cairns ladder with a 7-4 record.
Highlights include his average of just over 30 disposals on the season, with his total of 337 good for third in the competition.
He also leads the Tigers in clearances (59), contested possessions (163), inside 50s (84) and tackles (61), and has kicked just over a goal a game.
With the finals race heating up as the top four sides are separated by just four premiership points, expect Bennett to have his say over the final six rounds and into the finals.
