The Magpies Crusaders would do well to scout the Mackay Lions under-16s side for up-and-coming talent on a Saturday afternoon.
The Lions have won all of their games this season, and have scored 125 goals across those ten matches.
The offensive powerhouse is also a defensive fortress, having conceded just two goals in the Mackay Regional Football Zone season.
The Lions have four players with more than 10 goals this year, including striker Luke Munchow with 27 goals and Nicholas Doago with 14.
The Lions ran over the top of City Brothers Phoenix 17-0, with Doago dominating in the front half.
The highlight of the match came late in the second half, when Doago curled a corner cross into the top corner of the goals.
Concerns surrounding the league’s competitiveness must be raised with Mackay dominating every opponent so far.
The Crusaders currently sit in second place, and remain the only side to score against the Lions in their 8-2 loss.
Mackay’s current season record stands at 26 goals netted against Sarina, with 10 different goalscorers and five players registering hat-tricks.
