Mackay Cricket Association Round One: Every Grade’s Team of the Week

From fourth-grade heroes to the stars of the firsts, we highlight all the senior men’s standout performances from a great weekend of cricket in Mackay.

Mitchell Wadsworth, Darryn Dyer, and Adam Zurvas were among a number of strong first grade performers in round one.

The first weekend of Mackay Cricket Association one-day cricket provided an abundance of highlights and strong individual showings.

In first grade, Norths and Brothers piled on the runs, scoring 8-294 and 6-250 respectively.

Norths’ Lane Kohler, fresh off a blistering century in the inaugural T20 Smash, scored his 78 off just 34 balls - that’s a whopping strike rate of 229.

In the seconds, Souths’ Arun Chandrasekar had a game to remember, striking 71 and claiming four wickets.

While the only centuries and five-wicket hauls of the week both came in the Norths Red third grade side.
